Industry Denver presents a Kentucky Derby double feature event to showcase the talents of craft producers, and local industry professionals in a top shelf derby viewing experience. In partnership with the Colorado chapter of Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, we are joining their fight to end childhood hunger as they continue to provide education and access to healthy food for children in our community.
The presentation is a two-part event beginning at 1:00 pm with The Three Greatest Courses in Horses. During this portion of the event, guests will be treated to a traditionally influenced 3-course menu of Kentucky-style supper and paired cocktails designed and prepared by high stakes cast of local industry all-stars:
Matt Selby [Corner House] – Gerard Collier [Corner House]
Jensen Cummings [Slotted Spoon] – Tyler Lewis [TAG]
Clay Markwell [Scratch] – Anthony Giovanni [Gaetano’s]
As our dining guests enjoy the 3-course presentation, doors will open for a second group of guests who have arrived exclusively for the Kentucky Derby Spectator Social. At 2:00 pm These guests will be treated to a selection of complimentary cocktails showcased from the menu featured in The Greatest Three Courses in Horses as well as special pricing at the precessional bar until invited to the main event floor at 3:50 pm.
Once both groups of guests have been united on the main event floor, they will be treated to a selection of craft cocktails provided in partnership with Republic National Distributing Company. Each spirit will be showcased on the main event floor bar as a cocktail crafted in partnership with the ladies behind the Colorado Bartenders Guild:
Courtney Wilson [Old Major]– President COBG
Allie Geppert [Star Bar, Pinche Tacos] –Secretary COBG
Alexandra parks [Oak at 14th] – Vice President COBG
A variety of local gems will also be providing some culinary goodness throughout the social to showcase their favorite derby dishes and desserts. And as always with Industry Denver, a handful of Colorado’s craftiest distilleries will be sampling some of their most recent batches and brands. All of our local vendors have made significant contributions to the excitement of this event and providing each guest with the ultimate derby experience.
You will have the opportunity to see a great display of silent auction baskets throughout the main event floor. Bidding on these creative prizes will take place throughout the Kentucky Derby Spectator Social. Our venue partner, Eden Denver has enabled us to broadcast the Official Kentucky Derby events on a large projected screen where all guests will be in the middle of the excitement. The official race time is 4:23 pm, so we recommend arriving early to enjoy a cocktail at the precessional bar before experiencing the greatest two minutes in sports.
